After studies in Marseille, Nîmes and Saint-Maur conservatories, she entered in 2005 the CNSM of Paris in the studio of the concertist Nicholas Angelich. She developed here a special interest in analysis, chamber music and keyboard harmony, and she obtained a MA in piano with a minor in Harmony.

In 2011, she decided to specialize in contemporary repertoire and entered the CNSM Artist Diploma in Hae-Sun Kang’s studio, violonist at the Ensemble Intercontemporain. In 2012, Violaine studied and Graduated at the New England Conservatory in Gabriel Chodos's studio in classical piano, and Steven Drury's studio in contemporary music. From the perspective of defending contemporary music and creation, she founded duo Ekla in 2014 with the saxophonist and composer Kevin Juillerat. In 2019, she also founded duo Mantra to explore modern and contemporary repertoire for 2 pianos with Julien Guénebaut.

Pedagogy is an important part of her artistic life. After entering the Pedagogy course at the CNSM of Paris, Violaine obtained a Teaching Master and teaches at the Aulnay-sous-Bois conservatory since 2015. Violaine Debever was awarded national and international competitions (Lions Club, Yamaha, Académie Pianistique International d'Aix en Provence, Concours d'interprétation de Boulogne...). In 2012, Violaine was a recipient of the Marcel Bleustein-Blanchet foundation prize for Young Professional and she also received a scholarship from the ADAMI. During these training years, she has worked with renowned pianists such as Franck Braley, Marie-Françoise Bucquet, Andrzej Jasinski, Pierre-Laurent Aimard and Manahem Pressler. Within the world of contemporary music, she also worked with many composers (Jean-Claude Risset, Bruno Mantovani, Alain Savouret, Alain Louvier, Luis Naon, Helmut Lachenman, Marco Stroppa, Paul Méfano, etc...).

She played several times with orchestra and plays regularly as a soloist or in chamber music in many festivals in France: Printemps des Poètes in Nîmes, Jeudis de Nîmes, Nuits pianistiques d'Aix-en-Provence and Festival Chopin in Nohant. She also played at the Quimper Theater, in Festival Acanthes at IRCAM, in Aldebourgh Festival, in MEIJE Festival, at Palais de Tokyo and at Cité de la Musique in Paris. Violaine also performed in United States, Greece, United Kingdom, Spain and Hungary.
